Annot Team Attends IMF and World Bank Meetings

Our President Chiedza and our Programs Lead Viola attended the The World Bank Group Spring Meetings. Speaking on the sidelines of the meetings, our president echoed that "One session that stood out for me was on the AI Digital Gap, where my friend Crystal Rugege shared insightful perspectives on inclusive acceleration of AI adoption in Africa. In a world still grappling with the long-term impact of AI, it's crucial for African nations not to fall behind."

From the speakers, the team learnt that while AI may displace some jobs, it will also create new ones. However, ensuring proper skilling, re-skilling, and upskilling will be essential. Additionally, we must consider AI risks such as widening inequality, misinformation, and data security, among others when developing AI Ethics and Governance frameworks.
